Every girl matters, and has a right to empowerment. For many girls in Africa, education isn’t just important for a brighter future. Yet girls often dropout of school simply because they can not afford feminine hygiene products. Lack of education leads to vulnerability which leads to domestic abuse, teenage pregnancies, forced marriages, sexual abuse, HIV and the life of no choices. Together we can change this.
Currently we are working alongside local female football clubs and schools in the eastern region of Uganda to reduce the dropout rate by providing sanitary products, connecting young female football talents to schools that offer sports scholarship, teaching girls their values in Christ, equipping girls with enough information about reproductive health and igniting the passion for education.
Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others above yourselves, not looking to your own interest but for the interests of others”. World for Life’s foundation is based on the Christian values, the forefront being LOVE and CARE. In all that we do, we take Jesus Christ’s perspective. As World for Life, God has given us this platform to reach out to others and advance His kingdom. It is not about us, but the impact we make in people’s lives. This drives us because fulfillment comes from living our lives for others.
